Kindness Culture began with our autistic son, Leo.

One year for his birthday celebration, we invited his classmates, teachers, aides and their families to celebrate together. Although many of us had never spent time together outside of school, that day created connections that meant more than we ever expected.

Inspired by that day, we organized sensory-friendly movie screenings of Zootopia and The Super Mario Bros movie. With each event, our community continued to grow.

We realized it was never just about the movie, it was about creating a place where everyone feels welcomed, understood and included.

That’s why we created Kindness Culture.

Our journey begins with free sensory-friendly movie experiences. We offer free tickets to our movie events to enable as many people as we can to enjoy the movie going experience with one less hurdle to overcome. No more worrying about the financial obligation of ticket prices. We help offer the opportunity to simply try… to try and see if you’re loved one would enjoy the movie experience without sacrificing you’re hard earned money. Everybody deserves to have a movie experience with their family, even if it looks a little different. We are able to provide sensory support in a judgement free space. Where we can bring our community together. No matter if they watch the entire movie, only tolerate some of it or simply being comfortable entering the auditorium, we consider that a win and every bit worth putting on these events.

Movie outings are our initial focus and as we grow, we hope to create even more free inclusive opportunities for our community. :)
